Reconstructive Breast Surgery
Description:
39-year-old female with a diagnosis of right breast cancer. She underwent bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction using latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps and placement of tissue expanders. At the time of her second stage surgery, expanders were exchanged for 485 cc (right) and 415 cc (left) silicone implants, fat grafting, and peri-areolar mastopexy. After photos were taken 3 months following her second stage surgery. She did not desire to undergo nipple reconstruction and is considering areola restoration with 3D tattoo techniques.
