Reconstructive Breast Surgery
Description:
44-year-old female with a diagnosis of left breast cancer and a history of a prior breast augmentation. She underwent removal of her prior implants, bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies with latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap reconstruction and placement of tissue expanders. At the time of her second stage surgery, expanders were exchanged for 580 cc silicone implants, autologous fat grafting was performed, as was bilateral nipple reconstruction. She also underwent areola restoration using 3D-tattooing techniques. After photos were taken 1 year following her second stage surgery.
