Reconstructive Breast Surgery
Description:
47-year-old female with a diagnosis of right breast cancer. She underwent bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction using latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap reconstruction and placement of tissue expanders. At the time of her second stage surgery, expanders were exchanged for 605 cc silicone implants, autologous fat grafting was performed, as was a skin-tightening mastopexy and bilateral nipple reconstruction. She also underwent areola restoration using 3D-tattooing techniques. After photos were taken 2 years following her second stage surgery.
