Reconstructive Breast Surgery
Description:
33-year-old female with a prior history of right breast cancer and a right mastectomy. She subsequently underwent a preventative mastectomy on her left breast with bilateral reconstruction (delayed reconstruction on the right-side and immediate reconstruction on the left-side) using bilateral latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap reconstruction with placement of tissue expanders. At the time of her second stage surgery, expanders were exchanged for 365 cc (left) and 385 cc (right) silicone implants. Nipple reconstruction and fat grafting to bilateral breasts was also performed. After photos were taken 8 months following her second stage surgery and completion of areola restoration.
Procedure: Delayed Breast Reconstruction
