Description:
Two-stage expander to implant reconstruction after nipple-sparing mastectomies
47-year-old female with a prior history of cosmetic breast augmentation and a newly diagnosed right breast cancer who underwent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies, removal of her submuscular implants with immediate placement of tissue expanders above the muscle. At the time of her second stage surgery, expanders were exchanged for 520 cc silicone implants and fat grafting was performed to her bilateral breasts. After photos taken 1 year after her second stage surgery.
