Reconstructive Breast Surgery
Description:
62-year-old female with a diagnosis of bilateral breast cancer. She underwent bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction using latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps and placement of tissue expanders. At the time of her second stage surgery, expanders were exchanged for 450 cc silicone implants, autologous fat grafting was performed as was bilateral nipple reconstruction. She is anticipating undergoing additional areola restoration with nipple tattooing techniques. After photos were taken 3.5 months following her second stage surgery.
