Reconstructive Breast Surgery
Description:
38-year-old female with a diagnosis of left breast cancer. She underwent bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction using latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps and placement of tissue expanders. At the time of her second stage surgery, expanders were exchanged for 745 cc silicone implants, autologous fat grafting was performed, and a peri-areolar skin-tightening mastopexy was performed. She also underwent areola restoration using 3D-tattooing techniques. After photos were taken 2 years following her second stage surgery.
