Reconstructive Breast Surgery
Description:
44-year-old female with a history of right breast cancer. She underwent bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction using latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap reconstruction and placement of tissue expanders. At the time of her second stage surgery, expanders were exchanged for 560 cc silicone implants, autologous fat grafting was performed, as was a skin-tightening mastopexy and bilateral nipple reconstruction. She also underwent areola restoration using 3D-tattooing techniques. After photos were taken 18 months following her second stage surgery.
